Dr. Ahmad is the CEO of Global One 2015. With a PhD in Environmental Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University, Dr. Ahmad is the former Group CEO of Faith Regen Foundation which is a multi-faith UK charity. She is currently a Board member of BOND, Faith In Water, and Palmers Green Mosque (the MCEC). She is a member of the UN Task Force Faith based Advisory Council. She sits on the international advisory board of the Commonwealth Initiative for Freedom of Religion and Belief (CiFORB). Dr Ahmad sits on the Steering Committee of The World Bank’s Moral Imperative Initiative. She is an author and thought leader who has presented many papers internationally focusing particularly on faith and the environment. She is the Secretary General of the World Muslim Leadership Forum and Coordinator for the Alliance of NGOs and CSOs for South-South Cooperation.
International Finance Manager
Mathews is the global Finance manager for Global One. He has over 20 years of experience in the sector.
Media and Campaigns Manager
Mujahid completed BSC in Computer Science and Engineering and Masters degree in Computer Networking from the University of Greenwich. He has been with Global One since its inception in 2013 as a consultant, however recently joined as Media and Campaigns manager. With many years of experience in electronic media he has been instrumental in the production of the ‘The Green Guide for Hajj’, directed a documentary on Water conservation in Bangladesh in 2013, two short-animations on water conservation for children in 2012, a documentary based on how lives changes over the decades in Whitechapel area of East London with the title “Living History, Moving People” in 2012, a short documentary on Jewish Muslim London Roots in 2013.
International Programme Manager
Areej brings more than 7 years of experience having worked in Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Pakistan on humanitarian response and development initiatives. Areej holds a Master’s Degree in International Public Policy specializing in Global Governance and Environmental Policy from the Balsillie School of International Affairs, Waterloo Canada. She is currently pursuing a specialized Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Holistic Care from an Islamic Perspective to better understand and provide psychosocial interventions in humanitarian crisis.
Office Manager and Executive Assistant
Malaika is Global One’s Office Manager and Executive Assistant. Her main responsibility is to make sure everyone at Global One is as happy and as productive as possible. Before joining Global One in early July 2018, Malaikaworked as the Office Assistant to the CEO of Breast Cancer Now. There, Malaikawore many hats– from welcoming visitors to maintaining stakeholder relationships and supporting event development and delivery. Away from the office, she mostly spends her time keeping active at her much loved gym, Virgin Active.She’s also a huge fan of travelling – one day she hopes to independently travel the entire globe to see and experience new cultures and ways of life. She studied International Development and Geography at the University of East Anglia and, as a result, has developed a deep rooted interest in addressing the struggles both individuals and communities are facing across Europe, Africa and the Americas, with a specific and elected focus on vulnerable groups such as children, women and ethnic minorities.
Kenya Country Manager
Najat is the Country Manager for Global One Kenya, overseeing achievement of the organisation’s vision and mission in the horn of Africa. She has over 10 years’ experience in development and humanitarian sectors working in Ethiopia and Kenya. Her passion is gender equality. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Planning and Management from St Merry University of Ethiopia and Diploma in Education- from Kagumo Teachers College of Kenya and taught Boys Secondary school for two years before her NGO career.
Kenya Finance Officer
Wahome works at Global One managing Finance and Admin at Kenya Office, He is a Certified Public Accountant and IT expert in Computerised Accounting Systems. He has Eight years experience in Accounting and Finance and has worked as an Auditor, Accountant and Assistant Finance Manager in different organisations.
Nigeria Country Manager
Chioma started out with Global One as an Africa Programmes Intern in 2015. She’s currently working as a consultant for the team, monitoring and implementing development projects such as WASH, Maternal health and Agriculture in Nigeria. She holds a Masters’ degree in International Development from the University of Manchester, with keen interest in Rural Development, as well as a BSc in Economics. She has always been drawn to improving rural life hence her involvement with Enactus during her undergraduate studies, carrying out projects in the scope of rural education and agriculture.
Country Manager, Bangladesh
Nazrul is the Country Manager for Global One in Bangladesh. Alongside several qualifications from Rajshahi University and a proficiency in both English and Bengali, Nazrul has 16 years’ professional experience in fields ranging from Water Sanitation to Education and Child Protection. Nazrul previously worked for the EU and the UN on issues surrounding Food before joining Global One in 2018.
Logistic Officer, Bangladesh
Ramzan is the logistic officer for Global One in Bangladesh. He has been with Global One since its inception.
Programme Manager, Bangladesh
Raihan Mahmood Kadery joined Global One in April 2016. As the Programme Manager, he works in coordinating, implementing and monitoring different development projects in Bangladesh. Raihan holds a joint Masters in Research and Innovation in Higher Education from four finest universities in Austria, Finland, China and Germany as a full scholar of the European Commission. Previously, he completed his BSc (Hons) Management and Business Administration from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.
Finance Officer, Bangladesh
Ershadul is the Finance Officer for the Bangladesh Country Office. An expert on TAX-VAT as a certified ITP alongside a membership with Dhaka Taxes BAR Association (DTBA), Ershadul has over 7 years professional experience previously working as Finance Manager for Muslim Aid UK in Bangladesh before joining our team.
Programme Officer, Bangladesh
Tanjena is the Program Officer for Global One. She has previous project management experience in a multitude of areas including Sexual Reproductive Health, Human Trafficking, Child Protection, as well as holding managerial positions with NGOs such as Oxfam and Save the Children Australia. She holds academic qualifications in both Economics and Humanities and is able to conduct business in both Bengali and English.
