Give Water
Help us provide communities in water-scarce regions with access to clean, safe, and sustainable water solutions—tackling a crisis that disproportionately affects women and children.
“By means of water, We give life to everything.” (Qur’an, 21:30)
We live in a world where a child dies every two minutes from water-related diseases. Right now, 785 million people in the world live without access to clean water. The majority reside in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day on a dangerous walk to collect water from neighbouring locations. This directly impacts education, income and health – especially for women and children.
Today, 2.2 billion people worldwide lack access to safely managed drinking water, while 703 million still live without even a basic water service. Climate change is making water scarcity worse, with erratic rainfall patterns and prolonged droughts disrupting already fragile water supplies. Every drop counts, and securing access to clean water is critical for sustainable development—impacting poverty, hunger, disease, sanitation, hygiene, and pollution.
For many communities, the daily search for water is long and dangerous. Women and children bear the burden, often walking miles to collect water from unsafe sources. These treks not only risk their health but also keep them from school, work, and a future free from poverty.
Our Response
Global One is committed to Water Action Decade initiatives by working with partners to build wells and install sustainable water pumps in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Kenya. Our goal is to develop long-term water security solutions, ensuring reliable access to clean water while improving sanitation and hygiene in some of the world’s most water-stressed regions.
For many of us, turning on a tap is second nature, but for millions, clean water remains out of reach. Without it, dehydration, disease, and death are daily threats. Your support can change this reality.
