Join Global One on April 29th for our Dignity Run. This 5K run on Hampstead Heath is open to runners and walkers of all ages and will end in a family picnic. We are raising money for the thousands of refugee women around the world who don’t have access to menstrual hygiene products.
In crisis situations, women are disproportionately affected by the strain on services. Lack of menstrual hygiene products affects health, education, and can increase the risk of violence and human trafficking. We help Syrian refugees, rural communities in Nepal and Nigeria, and the newly arrived Rohingyas in Bangladesh by distributing Dignity Kits to the neediest and most vulnerable.
Just £20 can provide three months’ worth of hygiene and sanitation products including disposable and reusable sanitary towels, shampoo, soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste, nail clippers, a towel and more.
Make sure to reserve your place by following the link to purchase tickets. Registration will take place at the Band Stand in Hampstead Heath, just near the Highgate Road main entrance. Look out for Global One signs and t-shirts!
There are toilets nearby, and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Water will be available for purchase but all other refreshments must be brought from home.
Children under 11 can take part in the 3K children’s race, everyone else will run 5K around the park. Everyone is welcome to stay for a picnic and more fun and games afterwards.
