After 9 years of conflict, suffering and displacement, with no end in sight, many Syrians know nothing more than conflict and pain. Over 5.5 million have been displaced from their homes, fleeing to neighbouring countries such as Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.

Coronavirus has now hit a region, already strained of resources required to meet the needs of the refugees within their borders. Tens of thousands of Syrian families are living in makeshift camps, in close proximity to others, all extremely vulnerable to the current coronavirus outbreak.

Global One is working to protect vulnerable Syrians in refugee camps across the region. We are helping to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, by supplying vital hygiene kits, protective equipment (PPE) and providing much needed food packs to help them survive. We are also helping provide comfort and dignity to women, by assisting with basic necessities and distributing essential hygiene kits to those who need them.

Displaced and refugee families are living in dangerous and cramped conditions with no clean water, sanitation or hygiene equipment. With no cleaning facilities or clean water, parents are unable to protect their children from the virus.  Medicines and medical facilities are scarce within these camps and a virus outbreak will have catastrophic consequences if it peaks.
