The violence in Gaza is causing immense suffering and widespread trauma, with the humanitarian situation for 2 million people living in the Gaza Strip growing more and more dire each day. Since the most recent unrest began at the start of May, the bombardment in Gaza has killed more than 227 people, including 64 children, and injured more than 1,620 people.
Air strikes have not only taken lives, but they have also caused immense damage to the vital infrastructures used by hundreds of thousands of people, including homes, schools, power lines, fuel supplies and water, sanitation and sewage systems. This extensive destruction has left thousands homeless and many more in desperate need of essential humanitarian assistance.
Sadly, Palestinians also face a further crisis in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vulnerable civilians are forced to huddle in crowded shelters and healthcare centres are facing enormous pressure to treat both those affected by the pandemic and those affected by the conflict. COVID-19 vaccinations have halted, and a recent air strike knocked out the only laboratory in the territory that processes coronavirus tests.
Following the recent ceasefire, Global One has coordinated with official authorities in Gaza to identify the most crucial medicines, medical equipment and supplies required to save the lives of thousands of injured families.
With your donations, we will be able to deliver immediate support through the provision of hygiene kits, medicine and medical equipment, and food and shelter. Your support is urgently needed to help provide our injured sisters, their children and families with the humanitarian assistance they so desperately need.
Your Zakat is also accepted for our Injured Families.
May Allah (swt) the Most Merciful bless you and your families.
By donating today, you will be providing critical support for injured and displaced children and families.
